Today’s post comes from a deep place in my heart. A place of both joy and sorrow and of hope and faith. Many of you who know our family are well aware that we have a very special little guy who is a part of us. My sister, Hannah and brother-in-law, Sully have a precious 5 month old baby boy named Jude Sullivan Peters. Jude was born on April 17, 2014 with a very rare form of dwarfism called RCDP (Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata). RCDP occurs in fewer than 1 in 100,000 infants worldwide. My sister was strongly encouraged to terminate her pregnancy and “try again” to which she strongly opposed. She and her husband were also told that Jude would likely not survive birth.
